Client: Medium Sized Medical Devices Company
Problem: Our client was a Carve-Out from a major US pharmaceutical company. It therefore needed to rapidly establish it's own systems, processes and operations, including IT desktop support. However, the combination of modest scale and geographic fragmentation worldwide resulted in a challenging situation for our client and potential suppliers alike.
Solution: Analysed the European supply market for desktop support providers, carried out a Request for Information (RFI) process. Rapidly developed a Request for Proposal (RfP), and issued to a selected bid list to a mix of mid tier and major IT firms. Selected our preferred supplier, carried out commercial and contract negotiations.
Outcome: Completed the RFP process within just 3 months, despite the challenging mix of scale and geographic fragmentation. Due diligence was completed, and a commercially attractive contract was successfully negotiated. Implementation was started in parallel, with wave 1 going live within 4 months of writing the RFP.
