People - Richard Derwent Cooke
Richard has been a chartered accountant for all of his 30 year career, also spending 17 of those years as a professional change agent. His industry career included Blue Circle Cement and SmithKline Beecham, where he was a member of the core team which designed and facilitated the biggest corporate merger ever (to that date).
His consulting career started in 1996, since when he has helped many clients with their strategic change issues, including Boots, Nokia, AstraZeneca, Baker Tilly and Manchester Airports Group. Over recent years he has been much in demand by SME and professional services organisations going through periods of significant change.
Richard is a qualified NLP practitioner, and uses his skills to coach and support board level managers to lead change within their organisations.
There aren't many facilitators that can successfully facilitate groups of over 200 people, but Richard is one of them. Indeed Richard's facilitation skills are world class, and he is very much an expert in guiding groups of all sizes to achieving their workshop goals.
