People - Tim Lux
Tim founded Pathfinders in August 2002. Previously he held consultancy roles with CSC Index, CSC and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, focused mainly on strategy, transformation and technology. Prior to that, Tim had a successful career in industry, including Director and European Board level roles at SmithKline Beecham plc and Coats Viyella plc.
Starting his career as a Chemist within the pharmaceutical industry, Tim held increasingly senior roles in world class manufacturing, strategy, supply chain management, sourcing and IT. In his 14 years as a consultant, Tim has worked on high profile mergers such as BP Mobil, Novartis and AstraZeneca. Other clients include O2, Marsh, Norwich Union, Solvay, DuPont, Nycomed Amersham, Reckitt Benckiser, Tube Lines, GSK and BP. Over the past few years he has also worked on high profile projects in the public sector, notably with the Driving Standards Agency, Lifelong Learning, and the UK Transforming the State Pension Programme.
He is a highly experienced sourcing and outsourcing specialist, and a subject matter expert in corporate relationships. In 2007/ 08, he set up a Pathfinders office in Perth, Australia, and whilst there, helped engineering services firm, SVT, win a WA Rising Stars Award for growth. More recently, Tim has worked with the Carbon Trust on introducing carbon management to the UK's aggregates industry.
Tim is also an advisor to investors and small firms seeking to commercialise and operationalise opportunities.
